
Universal Soldier is a reinterpretation by Depeche Mode of the anti-war song ‘The Universal Soldier’, originally released in 1965 by Buffy Sainte-Marie. The band’s version appears on the charity compilation album ‘Help (2)’, alongside tracks by a wide range of artists, from major names to indie acts. The compilation was recorded in November 2025 at Abbey Road Studios in London.
