DEPECHE MODE – 1991

This year there was no new music from Depeche Mode. Instead, they released two series of collectors limited edition CD box sets. First – exclusively for the Japanese market – came “X¹” and “X²”, featuring eight discs and 79 tracks. They were followed by European and North American releases of the “1”, “2” and “3” singles boxes, with in total 18 discs and 82 tracks. Members in the band were Andrew Fletcher, David Gahan, Martin Gore, and Alan Wilder.
